Caregiver Jobs in Indianapolis With Schedules That Respect Your Life

We hire carefully, we staff locally, and we back our caregivers up when a shift goes sideways. If you have looked after somebody and found it came naturally, we would like to hear from you.

  • Shifts near where you live
  • Days, evenings, weekends and overnights
  • Coordinators who answer the phone

  • Locally owned in Indianapolis
  • Clients matched to your area
  • Training and ongoing support

Caregiving is not a job you can fake your way through, and most people who are good at it did not plan on it. They looked after a grandparent, a neighbor or a parent, and found they were steadier at it than anyone expected.

If that sounds like you, the formal experience matters less than you think. What we cannot teach is patience, reliability and the instinct to notice when something is off.

What working here actually looks like

1

Clients near your home

We match on geography first, so you spend your day with clients rather than in the car.

2

Schedules built around you

Tell us the hours you can genuinely commit to and we build around them, rather than handing you a rota and hoping.

3

Backup when you need it

If you are unwell or something happens at home, you call the coordinator and we cover the visit. You are not left carrying it alone.

4

Training that is useful

Practical training on personal care, dementia support and safe moving, delivered by people who have done the work.

Who we are looking for

We hire for temperament first. The caregivers who last are the ones who turn up when it rains, notice that the fridge is empty, and treat somebody else's home like it belongs to them.

Formal care experience helps, and so does having looked after a family member. If you have neither but you are certain this is the work for you, apply anyway and tell us why in your own words.

The hiring process, start to finish

We screen applications, interview in person, check references and run a background check before anyone is matched with a client. It takes a little longer than some agencies, and that is deliberate: the families trusting us with a parent deserve it, and so do you.

Shifts and hours

We staff days, evenings, weekends and overnight cover. Some caregivers want two steady mornings a week around another commitment, others want full time hours. Tell us honestly what you can sustain, because a schedule you cannot keep helps nobody.

Where you would be working

Most of our clients are across Indianapolis and the communities in Marion and Hamilton counties. We try hard to keep your clients close together and close to you.

Questions about working with us

Do I need a certification?

Not for every role. Certification helps and is required for some kinds of personal care, but we also hire on temperament and train the rest.

Can I choose my hours?

You tell us the hours you can commit to and we build the schedule around them. What we ask is that the hours you give us are ones you can keep.

Will I be sent all over the city?

We match on geography deliberately. The aim is clients close to home and close to each other.

How long does hiring take?

Usually one to two weeks, most of which is references and the background check.

Do you hire caregivers without a car?

Transport to client homes is needed for most roles, since visits run to a schedule and many clients need rides to appointments.

Ready to apply?

Send the form and a coordinator will call you. If caregiving turns out not to be right for you, we would rather find that out together at the interview than three weeks in.
